Final Result of Auction

We've put our products on the website and just one day after, a user already commented on it and asked questions about it.
As we put the products on the bidding site not for a short time, we think that we may not be able to sell it as a whole set.
So we decided if someone who want to buy only few volumes of it, we will still sell it.

And because of this changing strategy, there's buyer making questions of whether we have those volumes they wanted.
And how old the comic books are.

And lastly, we've earned $ 120 as the buyer bids for 2 books, one volume 8 and one volume 14.

As being the first time putting things on a auction site, we have over-estimated the effect it can make.
We first think that when we first put on the website, immediately there'll be many people make opinion about it.
However, the results are not so expected. There's only one user wanted to buy it for those few days.
So we think we have to better put it earlier so more people can know about it.

Besides, we think our credibility is not enough. As i have only bought things from web for three times, so my account has only got three comments from the sellers.
So if we can increase the trust from the others, like improving our credibility it will be better in selling our products.

Also, We think we can do more effort on promotion work, for example, we can make use of the recent public site, like Facebook and our own blog. And we can add some strategies like adding some drawings of Crayon-Shin ourselves and give them to the buyers as free.

Lastly, we think that if we cannot sell the whole set, we can cut down the price a little bit of the rest ones.

But we can now gaining $12 for selling each book and the total of $ 24 as our revenue.
That could be fair for us.

Internet Auction Phase II

How people know about your products:

We’ve been thinking about putting those comic books on those popular auction websites, like Yahoo and e-bay. As those websites are popular with auction and people trust those websites, so it will be easier for us to sell. Besides, they provide us with different channels to collect the money like Pal, it will be convenient for us.

Also, we may put the selling announcement or details under some famous forums as nowadays people would like to do some exchanges through forums. People who are interested in buying those comic books will look into details and ask for more about the products through forums, especially those forums related to Crayon-Shin. As fans of Crayon-Shin will get onto the websites related to Crayon-Shin, so if they want to buy or collect Crayon-Shin books, they can buy books from us.

As Dr. RbW mentioned before, we will also try to put the products on the Taiwanese or Japanese auction websites. However, we have encountered some problems, like we cannot communicate well in Japanese. And the shipping cost will cost a bit mroe than mailing in local places. So we will consider whether it will be worthy to do so.

Its availability online:
There’re some books selling online. But they are not all a complete set. Also, people are selling more of their products rather than the comic books.
As we have some more copies of some books. So we decided to change our plan. We would like to sell some for helping the others to complete and also sell a whole set for those we haven’t buy any of those.

Questions: What we are going to sell and why do we think there’s a market for it.

Here you go:

Guess what we are going to sell?
We’re going to sell…. (You definitely know about it)

That’s the comic books of Crayon Shin-Chan.

What makes we want to sell the comic books of Crayon-Shin Chan. That’s because recently, there’s a bad news of the author of Crayon Shin-Chan. Usui Yoshito (うすい よしと) was found dead from falling from a mountain. He’s the one who created Shin-Chan and made lots of stories about him which made us laugh for most of the time.

Crayon Shin-Chan is a popular cartoon in Asia and people of different ages all know it. They influenced us a lot as we can watch it every day on TV or from comic books. It’s a comedy which suitable for both adults and children. That’s why people of different ages also love this character. Until now, many people still watched it on ATV every weekend, and upon some time, there’ll be a new story for Crayon Shin-Chan. Say, we’ve been watching it for 10-15 years. And the sales volume of comic books is really great. The statistics shown that in Japan, the sales was more than 40,000,000 sets. That’s they’ve sold more than 13 billion books. In order words, each Japanese person will have 4 books of Crayon Shin-Chan. In Taiwan, the sales volume is great too.

People concerned that we may not have new stories from Shin-Chan. Though there will be someone who will keep on drawing story of Shin-Chan, but it’s different from the one created by Usui. So we believed that there’ll be a market for comic books of Crayon Shin-Chan as people may want to collect all the comic books that Usui draw. Crayon Ship-Chan was a historical and famous cartoon character and the story created by Usui will be valuable. So people will try to get them all and treat them as a valuable stuff, or like a collective memory.

Besides, the character of Shin-Chan is created since 1990, and was hit starting from 1995. Those fans were mainly at the age group of 25-40, and those people will have the highest purchasing power. So, now under the news that the author was dead, it will be a great chance to sell the comic books.
